Nintex Workflow - Wunderlist UDAs

Thanks to my wife for putting me on the Wunderlist train.  Not sure where I've been hiding, that I've never seen this before.  It's been pretty awesome to use and it allows my wife and I to have a centralized list or lists, where we can both add, edit and remove items.  If it's good enough for us, then how cool would it be for you and your colleagues to be able to do this some small tasks.  It could be something work related.. it could be a work event/function you're trying to organize.  Whatever it is, it's a nice tool to use.

So of course being the techie nerd, I had to look into whether Wunderlist has an API, and they do!!!

Well, that means I can go and automate things at Wunderlist, using Nintex Workflow.

What I did was create 10 User Defined Actions.

  1. Create Note
  2. Create Reminder
  3. Delete List
  4. Delete Reminder
  5. Delete Task
  6. Get List
  7. Get Reminder
  8. Get Task
  9. Update Note
  10. Update Reminder

I should probably make some more around creating and updating lists, but I didn't have much time, so I'll do it later :).

In order to use these, you need to register for an app with Wunderlist.  When you do that, you'll get a Client ID, Secret and an Access Token.

Go into your SharePoint site -> Site Settings -> Manage Workflow Constants and create two constants.

  • WunderlistAccessToken
  • WunderlistClientID

These are used by the Nintex Workflow UDAs that are available in the download section below.
